We are proud to announce featured video content from Icelandic artist Björk, musician extraordinaire!
Björk's creative team has created a special Palm Top Theater version of her music video for "Moon," from her latest album Biophilia.
* release: mid-November
Biophilia celebrates natural phenomena from the atomic to the cosmic, and presents musical sound as part of this whole.
Alongside the live show is an album and app suite of original music, interactive artworks, and musical artifacts, with educational workshops for children exploring music, nature and technology.
Björk describes Biophilia as a twenty-first century "music of the spheres." This ancient philosophical notion conceived the relationships between the movements of sun, moon, and planets as a kind of music - not a music you can hear, but a mathematical idea based on the ratios of musical frequencies and planetary orbits. Björk connects this theory with the modern notion of equilibrium in the natural world.
In "Moon," Björk explores the lunar cycles and the effect they have on Earth. Palm Top Theater delivers a 3D realization of her cosmic artistic expression.
